Lorna Sanchez McClellan, Board Member

Originally from St. Louis, MO, Lorna started her career in 2006 as a Teach For America corps member teaching High School Biology in Richmond, CA. During her four years as a high school teacher she served as science department chair, started an AP Biology program, and led her students to the highest proficiency rate in the district for three years in a row. After that, she transitioned to the Teach For America St. Louis team as an instructional coach for first and second year teachers throughout the St. Louis region. Most recently, Lorna has led the Instructional Leadership and Program team at Teach For America St. Louis managing her team to achieve the second highest growth in participant satisfaction across the organization. She enjoys change management, program design, data analysis, and coaching others to reach their greatest potential. Lorna holds a Bachelor's Degree in Biology from University Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is currently pursuing her Executive Masters in Business Administration at Washington University.
