Atlas is a public charter school in the City of St. Louis. It is free and open to all students who reside in the City of St. Louis. Please note that PreK has both free spots for families who qualify and tuition-based spots.

Important Dates

For the 2026-27 school year, cutoff dates are as follows:

PreK: Must be 4 on or by 7/31/2026 (Please note, some PreK seats are tuition-based, dependent on family income)
Kindergarten: Must be 5 on or by 7/31/2026

Admissions Process for 2026-27

Atlas will again partner with other St. Louis charter schools and organizations to simplify the admissions process and make it easier for you. The SchoolAppSTL site allows families to apply to one or multiple charter schools using the same easy form. On average, the application takes just three minutes to complete! Families can receive offers from multiple schools, but ultimately can only select one school.

STEP 2: Lottery

In cooperation with other Charter schools/networks, Atlas and all schools using the SchoolAppSTL site will have just one lottery this year.

All applications to Atlas must be received through the SchoolAppSTL site. Applications open October 1 and must be in by March 1. The Atlas Lottery will take place on March 5, 2026. Families will be notified of offers on March 9, 2026 and must accept one spot at one school by March 16, 2026. Applicants will be notified via email that they have been offered a seat.

After March 16, 2026, admissions will be on a rolling basis. Once a seat is offered, it should be accepted or declined within 48 hours, and registration should be complete within 1 week or offers will be revoked.
