Teaching at Atlas

At Atlas, we know that in order to have thriving students, we start by having thriving educators. That’s why we’re committed to developing our team, giving them the tools they need to be successful, and pushing them to be the best teachers they can be for our students.

What Sets Us Apart

At Atlas, you’ll join a positive school community and work alongside like-minded educators who believe learning should be joyful and that kids learn best through meaningful, hands-on experiences. We know that if we want our students to thrive, we must truly set our teachers up for success.

I love working at Atlas because of the strong sense of teamwork and support in our co-taught classrooms. The year-round education model is another great aspect. The frequent breaks help both students and teachers recharge, ensuring we come back ready to engage with new energy and fresh ideas. It's the perfect balance for fostering continuous growth while avoiding burnout.

These structures are designed to help ensure that each of our teachers have the skills and resources needed to be successful while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. It is serious work to be a teacher, but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We remember that teachers are people too and have their own needs that need to be met. We laugh, have fun, and work as a team to provide the best experience possible for our students and families.

Why We Are Growing

Atlas has been growing thoughtfully by adding one grade level each year. In September 2027, we will open our middle school starting with 6th grade. All middle school positions are for founding 6th grade teachers who will help shape the middle school program, culture, and systems.

As students advance, we will continue adding one middle school grade each year on our path to becoming a full PreK–8 school. This intentional growth ensures strong foundations and high-quality instruction at every level.
