Meet the Teacher - Erin Jackson

🎤 We asked our faculty “What do you bring to Atlas?”

🗣️ The first answer is from Erin, who has ten years of experience teaching elementary and is one of our First Grade Lead Teachers.

👉 But, who is Erin? Read on to learn more about her background and teaching philosophy!

Erin, often described as colorful, creative, silly, energetic, and enthusiastic, was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. After attending schools in both St. Louis Public Schools and Affton School District, Erin went on to work with Americorps in underserved elementary schools in San Antonio, TX, and then New York, NY. After working as a classroom assistant and participating in community outreach and revitalization projects, Erin enrolled at Harris-Stowe State University to acquire degrees in Elementary Education and Art. Since graduating, Erin has taught grades 2nd through 5th grade at Gateway Elementary and has been lucky enough to loop with her classes. Erin is a proud dog mom of two Pugs and two Pitbulls! She loves outdoor activities, dancing like nobody’s watching, and crafting/DIY projects.

When asked about working at Atlas, Erin said, “I'm excited to work at Atlas with a dynamic, extraordinary team. I can't wait to meet all young learners and make education a fun and authentic learning experience for all to enjoy. This will be an experience like none other, and I believe both kids and staff will be excited to come to school every day!” We are thrilled to welcome Erin to the team and cannot wait for you to meet her, as well!Click
