🎤 We asked our faculty, “What do you bring to Atlas?”
🗣 Now it’s Kelly's turn to give us an answer!
👉 But, who is Kelly? Read on to learn more about one of our superstar Kindergarten teachers and why she's so important to us!
"I was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri and attended Ladue schools.
My Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education comes from Harris Stowe State University (1994). Upon graduation I went on to teach elementary aged children at Missouri School for the Blind. I then went on to teach both preschool and kindergarten for St. Louis Public Schools. It has been a great joy to watch all of my students grow and learn and I hope each student has left my classroom with a love of learning!!
I am the proud mother of a wonderful 16 year old young man. My hobbies include traveling, reading, baking, and spending time with family and friends.
When I was in middle school, I wanted to be a doctor. However, after working part time at an elementary school, I soon found that education was calling out to me."
When asked what Kelly brings to Atlas, this is what Kelly said, "I bring… a true desire and dedication to my craft. It is my hope that each one of my students leave my classroom seeking the joy of learning and evolving into the very best THEY can be!!"
We can't wait to witness Kelly using her 20 years of experience to work magic with our kindergarteners!!
