Information for New Families
Registration→MOST IMPORTANT NEXT STEP. Please begin your registration as soon as possible by visiting this site.
You'll need to create a PowerSchool account to start the process. Be sure you have proof of St. Louis city residency and your child’s immunization records, as they will be needed to complete the process. As a reminder, residency in the City of St. Louis is required to attend Atlas. Need Registration Help? Email us at [email protected] and schedule a time to come in for help. You may also call/text Mr. Oliver Clark at 314-437-4898.
Before/After/Intersession Care for 2025-26
For students in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, Atlas partners with Unleashing Potential (UP) for before- and after-school care, as well as during our intersession weeks. PreK students are not eligible for Unleashing Potential, but our Atlas staff will provide care for PreK students as needed. See the last sentence for the link to apply for PreK care.
Unleashing Potential's Application is now available for students who will be in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Spots are limited, so if your child/children will need before, after, or intersession care next year, please fill out the application. We will contact those who have applied to determine the days/time/weeks you need care, whether it is every day after school or just some intersessions, etc. Please note, for 2025-26, spot preference will be given to those families who are eligible for Free/Reduced Lunch and who complete the application early due to the nature of UP's grant program.
You must fill out a new application for 2025-26 even if your child is currently enrolled in UP at another location. All questions related to Unleashing Potential should be directed to Mona Rimson-Hope at 314-728-8249. Once Unleashing Potential determines the number of students they can take, Atlas will evaluate its own before/after/intersession staffing plans for next year. We have traditionally run an "overflow" program if UP's spots are all full. If you need before/after/intersession PreK care, fill out this form instead!
Required Testing for Students Entering 1st-5th Grade
Students who will join Atlas as 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th graders must sign up for a slot to take a benchmark test in July. This testing will help with class/group placements and help teachers and support staff better evaluate and support our newest students. The link to sign up can be found here. Please be sure students arrive 5-10 minutes before their scheduled slot. You'll receive a reminder email one day prior to your date/time. There are four time slots per day July 14-18, July 21-25, and July 28-August 1.
PreK & Kindergarten Park Playdate
Families of students who will be in PreK and Kindergarten are invited to join fellow new families at a park playdate on Sunday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to Noon at McDonald Park in Tower Grove South. Atlas regularly holds park playdates to offer students and families a chance to play, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. Join us for this casual meetup if you're free, or catch one this fall!
Atlas Uniforms
The online uniform store will open again in July (we will send another update when it opens) for orders that will be available for pickup at our Back to School Nights in August. We will also have some items for sale in person on those nights.
Refer a Friend!
We have just a few remaining seats available for the 2025-26 school year and would love our newest explorers to be your family, friends, and neighbors! Please share the names & contact information of anyone we should reach out to in order to help these families apply, register, or tour Atlas! Or, simply encourage them to apply! If any of those names you refer to us end up enrolling, your explorer will receive a free uniform t-shirt. You can submit names using this form. As a reminder, PreK is currently on a waitlist for next year, but we have a couple of spots available in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
